So I just have to share this about my latest riding jersey...

I'm wearing FXR's base layer for snowmobiling as my motocross jersey and it's better than any motocross jersey I've owned!

Here's what I have to say:

  • It works really well at wicking moisture away - which is very important to me in both sports.  It's not a good thing to be wet out in the middle of winter.
  • It is "fitting" but is very comfortable!  (The material feels slightly stretchy) The sleeves are long and the waist goes to the hips which keeps that back covered when hunched over the bike while riding.  This also makes for the perfect jersey to wear under my Alpinestars Stella Jacket.  For sledding, the length is great at keeping the warmth in at the wrists and waist.
  • It really keeps me cool in the warmer months and warmer in the cooler months when dirt biking!  (Crazy hugh??!?)
  • The only negative is that the material snags on velcro so keep it away from velcro!  Otherwise seems to hold up great to everything else inlcuding normal chaffing from my jacket.
Here's a link to FXR's website:  http://www.fxrracing.com/product;cat,27;item,99;Layerwear-Long-Sleeve-Base-Top

It comes in black, white, hot pink and light pink.  I got the hot pink one! tee hee

It fits nicely under my jacket!

Since so many of you are dirt riders too, I thought you might like to know!

My only complaint is the tag, it is hard/rough and you can't cut it out w/o leaving a hole. I decided a hole was better than scratchy scratchy.... lol

The 2010 pants are the same way AND the tag is right between your buttcheeks!?!?! Seriously???

I love me some reasonably priced base layer...but, has anyone else had a problem with scratchy tags? That would drive me absolutely nuts!

They sent me a pair as well. I don't think your feet would ever get cold in them, however they are about 1" taller in the sole section and I kept getting my foot stuck in the footwells. NOT acceptable.

With that said, it looks like they've changed their design quite a bit this year. CUTE too! lol

Regarding the tag again - mine does not have a tag on the back of the neck (just printed size and info) but there is a tag on the bottom on the side.  I dont even notice it because I wear it over my pants.  The tag seems soft though so not sure I'd notice it then.  Brandy - where is your tag at?

On the shirt the tag is on the side... but it isn't long enough. on me, to reach my pants! LOL So I get the itchy scratchy on the side....
